Warranty Policy

Effective date: October 22, 2026

This Warranty Policy explains how product warranties work for products purchased from Tech Pedia, operated by Abir Distribution BD, through techpediabd.com.

We sell products from different brands and categories. Warranty coverage therefore varies from product to product.

1. Warranty Coverage

Most products sold by Tech Pedia are covered by an official brand warranty provided by the relevant manufacturer or brand.

  • The applicable warranty period for a product will be clearly stated on the individual product page before purchase.
  • Warranty periods may vary depending on the brand, product model, product category, and applicable warranty terms.

Some products may have:

  • Official brand warranty.
  • Manufacturer warranty.
  • Distributor or authorised service warranty, where specifically stated.
  • No warranty.

Not every product is covered by a warranty. If a product does not have a warranty, this will be indicated on its product page or in the applicable product information. Customers should always check the warranty information displayed on the product page before placing an order.

2. Official Brand Warranty

Where a product is sold with an official brand warranty, the warranty is provided according to the terms and conditions of the relevant brand or manufacturer.

Depending on the product and brand, warranty service may be handled by:

  • The brand's authorised service centre.
  • The manufacturer's authorised service network.
  • An authorised distributor or service provider.
  • Tech Pedia, where the applicable warranty arrangement requires us to coordinate the claim.

The exact warranty process may vary between brands.

3. Warranty Period

The warranty period for each covered product will be stated on its individual product page.

For example, a product page may state a specific warranty period such as:

  • 7 days
  • 1 month
  • 6 months
  • 1 year
  • 2 years

These are examples only. The actual warranty period applicable to your purchase is the period stated on the relevant product page and/or applicable warranty documentation. Customers should retain their invoice or order information as proof of purchase when making a warranty claim.

4. When the Warranty Starts

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, warranty coverage will generally be calculated from the date of purchase or the date specified by the applicable brand or warranty provider.

Where the manufacturer or brand specifies a different warranty commencement date or procedure, the manufacturer's applicable warranty terms may apply.

5. What the Warranty May Cover

Warranty coverage depends on the specific product and brand.

Where applicable, a warranty may cover manufacturing defects or functional failures occurring during the stated warranty period under normal and intended use. The applicable brand or manufacturer will determine whether a reported issue falls within the warranty coverage.

6. What the Warranty Does Not Usually Cover

Unless the applicable brand warranty states otherwise, warranty coverage may not include problems caused by:

  • Accidental damage.
  • Physical damage.
  • Liquid or moisture damage.
  • Improper use.
  • Misuse or abuse.
  • Negligence.
  • Incorrect installation.
  • Use outside the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Unauthorised repair or modification.
  • Tampering with the product.
  • Electrical or power-related damage caused by unsuitable power sources or voltage.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality.
  • Damage caused by external factors.
  • Lost or damaged accessories that are not covered by the applicable warranty.

Specific exclusions may differ by brand and product. The terms of the applicable manufacturer or brand warranty will take precedence for warranty-specific conditions, subject to applicable law.

7. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To request warranty assistance, contact Tech Pedia using:

Please provide:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase.
  • Product name and model.
  • A description of the problem.
  • Photos and/or video demonstrating the issue, where applicable.
  • Any other information reasonably required to assess the warranty claim.

We may ask you to provide additional information or perform reasonable troubleshooting steps before arranging further assistance.

8. Warranty Assessment

A warranty claim may need to be inspected by Tech Pedia, the manufacturer, an authorised service centre, or another authorised warranty provider.

The inspection may determine:

  • Whether the reported problem exists.
  • Whether the problem is covered by the applicable warranty.
  • Whether the product has been misused or physically damaged.
  • Whether repair or replacement is appropriate.
  • Whether the product should be referred to an authorised service centre.

Submitting a warranty claim does not automatically mean that the claim will be approved.

9. Repair, Replacement, or Other Resolution

If a warranty claim is approved, the available remedy will depend on the applicable brand warranty and the nature of the problem.

Depending on the circumstances, the product may be:

  • Repaired.
  • Replaced with the same or an equivalent product.
  • Referred to an authorised service centre.
  • Subject to another remedy provided under the applicable warranty or law.

A replacement is subject to product availability. If the same product is unavailable, the applicable brand, manufacturer, distributor, or Tech Pedia may determine the appropriate available resolution in accordance with the applicable warranty terms and law.

10. Products Without Warranty

Some products sold by Tech Pedia may not carry any warranty. Where a product has no warranty, this will be stated in the applicable product information where reasonably practicable.

A product being sold without a warranty does not prevent a customer from exercising any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Bangladesh law. Customers should review the warranty information on the product page before purchasing.

11. Warranty and Returns Are Different

A warranty claim and a return/refund request are not necessarily the same thing.

  • A product may be eligible for a return or refund under our Return & Refund Policy even where a manufacturer's warranty process is handled separately.
  • Similarly, where a product has an official brand warranty, a warranty claim may need to be processed through the relevant authorised service centre or manufacturer.
  • For damaged, incorrect, or incomplete products received on delivery, customers should contact Tech Pedia promptly rather than assuming that the issue must be handled only as a manufacturer warranty claim.

12. Warranty Period After Repair or Replacement

Where a product is repaired or replaced under warranty, any applicable continuation or renewal of the warranty will depend on the terms of the relevant brand or manufacturer warranty.

Customers should follow the warranty documentation or instructions provided with the repaired or replacement product.

13. Warranty Service and Delivery

Where a product needs to be sent to Tech Pedia, an authorised service centre, or another warranty provider, we will explain the applicable procedure and any relevant delivery arrangements.

Any shipping or transportation costs associated with a warranty claim will be handled according to the applicable warranty terms and the circumstances of the claim. We will not represent that a customer is responsible for a warranty-related cost where applicable law requires the cost to be borne by the seller, manufacturer, or warranty provider.

14. Warranty Documentation

Customers should keep their:

  • Purchase invoice or order confirmation.
  • Warranty card, where provided.
  • Product serial number or IMEI, where applicable.
  • Original accessories and documentation, where relevant.

These may be required when processing a warranty claim.

15. Product-Specific Warranty Terms

Because warranty coverage varies between products, customers should always check the Warranty section of the relevant product page before purchasing.

  • The product page will state the applicable warranty period where a warranty is offered.
  • If the product page states that a product has no warranty, the product will not be represented as carrying an official brand warranty.
  • If there is a discrepancy between general information on this page and the specific warranty information displayed on a product page, the product-specific warranty information and applicable manufacturer terms should be reviewed together.

16. No Transfer of Manufacturer Responsibilities

Where a product carries an official brand or manufacturer warranty, Tech Pedia does not alter the manufacturer's warranty terms.

The brand or manufacturer may have its own procedures, service centres, exclusions, inspection requirements, and warranty conditions. Tech Pedia will assist customers with warranty matters where the applicable warranty arrangement requires or permits us to do so.

17. Customer Rights

This Warranty Policy is intended to explain Tech Pedia's general warranty procedures.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or replace any mandatory consumer rights, statutory remedies, warranties, or protections that apply under the laws of Bangladesh. Where applicable law provides a customer with rights or remedies that differ from this policy or a manufacturer's warranty, those mandatory legal rights will apply.
